Subcritical water system

Our laboratory extraction equipment using supercritical CO2 as a solvent is also compatible with the use of subcritical water. Maintained in liquid form at temperatures above 100°C by increasing its pressure, subcritical water’s solvent properties are modified. Weakly polar compounds become soluble in water.

This process enables :

  • Extraction of non-dried products
  • Adjust the solubility characteristics of the water by modifying the process parameters
  • Eliminate the need for organic solvents
  • Extract phenolic compound

For larger applications, our equipment is developed specifically for this process.
